I started loosing my hearing in my Left Ear in High School over 40 years ago.  I was diagnosed with Meneire's disease and the dizzy spells became increasingly worse over time.  My health care was sorely lacking as I was with an HMO institue that did not have the care and technology needed to guide me correctly.  35 years ago I was talked into a Labyrinthectomy to end the dizzy spells. It did end the spells but to my ignorance of the procedure, It would permanently kill my hearing.  Now, thanks to Dr. House and the House Institue in Los Angeles, CA  I have had surgery on Friday Dec 18th for the titanium implant for the Baha device.  I am so looking forward to the healing process to go by quickly hopefully in 2-3 months God willing with no complications, so I can finally hear again on my left side.  I am so thankfull to my wonderful husband who has been such a support for me.  If only I had married him first instead of the unsupportive person I divorced over 20 years ago.  But with God's help anything is possible.  I have nothing but praise for Dr. House and the wonderful people at St. Vincent's hospital in Los ANgeles.
