Hello everyone! :)

I am a deaf/legally blind CI user, currently using Nucleus Freedom CI. 

Surgery date: Oct. 1st, 2008, Activation date: Oct. 30th, 2008

Most days I like my "ear" :) Lately, I have been considering going bilateral (Huge thanks to Scott Rinehart!)

I am a competitive cheerleader and also home schooled and I love it!

I joined the cochlear community hoping to find other teens with CIs.

I have worn hearing aids since I was 1? My parents noticed I didn't respond to them if they called my name and I was not near them. They thought I was the typical little kid ignoring their parents. The reason they thought that was because I was saying "mama" "dada" etc. Then, we went to an air show on base and the planes make loud noises. well...I slept through the entire show! While other kids were reacting to the sounds in their own way. Then they realized something was not right. They were told I was HOH/Deaf. (to be continued)
