Baha Professional Workshop

April 24, 2009
posted by  Nancy Allen.- Baha Volunteer

On Thursday, April 23, I was fortunate enough to speak to a group of audiologist, speech pathologist and educators at the Crown Plaza Hotel in White Plains New York.  Cochlear arranged the workshop which included refreshments and a very comfortable setting. One room was designated for Cochlear implant recipients and potential recipients, another room was designated for professionals interested in learning about the Baha. The hallway between was filled with dinner and desserts compliments of Cochlear. The Crown Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of shopping in White Plains, New York. The workshop was well attended and both rooms were filled. The group I spoke to was filled to capacity and I remarked how impressive it was to see so many professionals in attendance and interested in learning about the Baha. Clearly, Cochlear has worked at getting the Baha message out. Equally impressive was the amount of literature set at each seating. It gave each professional a clear introduction to the Baha and an in-depth overview of the Cochlear Implant. I am happy to include Cochlear among the companies for which I volunteer.
