Bilateral Concert

I wanted to post this on the Bilateral Group page here, but it doesn't allow members to start a new topic...hmmmm.

I went to a concert at a medium-sized arena last night and sat on the 7th row in the orchestra section right of stage. I watched the jumbo screen to read the singer's lips but most of them held the mic in front of their mouth. The music sounded great with 2 implants, but I only followed about 30% of the lyrics.

When I went to the table to see if I could purchase the tour DVD with captioning, they said none of them were captioned. I replied, with a smile, "That's a good suggestion!"

This won't keep me from going to concerts in the future, but I really hoped I would hear and understand words better.

I like to go to the concerts of our local military band. It's mostly instrumental music, but sometimes a choir teams up with the band. Lately there has been a guest vocalist who sings a few numbers. I've never expected to actually hear the lyrics, so I haven't tried that. Doesn't seem worth the effort for only about 30%. BTW, I love the cat choir in the graphic portion of your post.

I have lots of graphics, animated and static, that I use on my high school alumni forum (I created the forum 7 years ago). I guess I'll never grow up!

Humm, I went to a concert last night too. That was new to me since receiving the Freedom in Dec. Music does sound better that it did, but still have problems. I want to continue listening to music to see if that helps. I like your cat graphic too.

I play and misbehave a lot with graphics, family photos, and my 2 other forums (high school alumni and cochlear chat site). I really should do more dusting, vacuuming...ahem! What would my Mother say?!
