I heard my granddaughter read a book!

I took little pumpkins to my granddaughters tonight, and 5-yr. old Payton surprised me by reading a book. She is learning to read in kindergarten and has only been in school 2 months. I was amazed at the complexity of the story and the big words. She only missed 2 words and read at a normal pace.
It brought tears to my eyes because I realized if I had not had the cochlear implant (bilateral now), I wouldn't have heard her read her very first book. What a blessing!
All those years while I was losing my hearing, I was full of faith and hope that God would restore my hearing someday, somehow. I had no idea He would do it through the skilled hands of a surgeon and the amazing technology available today thanks to the Cochlear Corp.
