You should contact OCS, the information is on one of the stickies in the group. They will help with the appeal process. Hearing devices cover hearing aids. The Baha is an implanted device, which makes it different. OCS can help you to get the wording right and can actually help with the appeals process. Good luck!

My daughter is 18 months old. The ENT and audiologist both recommed the BAHA softband. Of course this is not a covered benifit on BCBS. They do not cover "hearing devices." Does anyone have any recommendations on what should be included with my appeal process. Any sample letters anyone has come across with. Her audiologist is writing a letter of medical necessity. Any advice would be helpful
