THE CULPRIT

For the last few days, I’ve been hearing something I was not able to readily identify…a “crinkle”- like sound…and it was really “bugging” me! It always happened when I was home alone, in the evening,  and sitting in my favorite chair, reading the paper or watching television. I mute the TV – and I still hear it, so it’s not coming from there. I lay the paper aside – and it’s still there! What in the world is it?? I even wondered if there was something in the walls!! (Christmas mice?) No, no – I sure hope not! I don’t have them…simply won’t allow it…NO WAY!

Last night I solved the mystery…

I recently put out the Christmas decorations…I put one of those angels (it’s actually for a tree top, but I have it on a table) that is illuminated and animated – the head, arms and wings move back and forth. I’ve had it for several years and I love it. As I looked in that direction, I focused on the wings moving – and each time the wings went back…THAT WAS IT! Of course, I never noticed it in past years because I couldn’t hear. But that beautiful angel, which I love so much, is NOISY!

And no one else in the family has ever complained about the noise!

Your Christmas angel is most beautiful! If only we really could hear the wings of angels!!!!!! This particular angel of yours is lovely and now you found out "noisy". Now you can enjoy her even more. Merry Christmas, Karen. May your spirit be filled with the true meaning of Christmas. Iola

Karen what an incredible reminder of your new gift, delivered on the wings of an Angel. Now that's what I call a wonderful Christmas message! Ellen

What a beautiful Christmas Angel!! I imagine now that you know what the sound is that it will fade into the background maybe?

Thanks, everyone! Maybe the sound "will" just fade into the background - OR - I might take time to figure out why it's catching or dragging - and fix it! ~Karen
