Life is full of memories - some you make, some you keep, some you remember for the future. Learning how to hear again is full of memories as well. I made some miraculous memories with my first CI, and look forward to doing some more with my second. I also kept some of those memories with my first CI close to me in my heart and I will never forget the first time I fully understood my mother's voice without having to look at her face. The memories I will remember for the future are the ones being made now. Life is in your hands - grasp it, and keep it close to you. Never let it go. "Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
The sound of music - the sound of laughter - the sound of water rushing from a waterfall - all of these sounds will come back to you and will be available to you when you are implanted. Life is never short of miracles, so don't let someone's opinions on these miraculous devices stop you from getting a miracle (or two) for you or your child. Cochlear is all about giving the miracle of sound to you and your family - that's their lifelong promise to you. They will keep their word - honest.
I'm proud to be a part of the Cochlear family since 2004, and I'm lucky to know such amazing, wonderful, and talented individuals who don't let something get in their way of achieving greatness.
Take pride in yourself. You are perfect - and you will become even better than you were before. Life is in your hands, seize it, and take ahold of the opportunities it gives you.
Hear Now. And Always.
