Today I went to a deaf/blind meeting for Wisconsin.  I would love to become a part of something huge.  Something that can make a difference for our future children and present adults/kids.  They changes there have been even since I was a child as far as services available has changed.  I would love to help anyone and everyone I can....  There is soooo much work to do yet and after meeting some wonderful people today, I hope I can help in anyway possible.

The meeting was in Madison and included a bunch of different people from different avenues of business for deaf/blind.  The biggest topic was how do we get the awareness or education out there for teachers, doctors, parents, everyone.  I wish I would have known more about services available as I was growing up...

I had the ability to use sign language today too..  whew, I need to brush up on that.  It's amazing how much you forget when you don't use it..

There are soooo many things to talk about when it comes to this meeting.  i don't know yet what I am allowed to share, but I can't imagine they wouldn't want everyone and anyone to know what needs to be done..

I am going to try hard to become a voice!!  It was a very empowering feeling leaving that meeting.  That there are people working to help others with deaf/blind issues.  People from extreme disabilities to minor ones.  We need more people like that.

Okay I'm done for now..
