My Story
I was born deaf with a Warrenburg gentic mutation and I just recently went in to get a hearing test to get new hearing aids when my doctor asked me what I thought about cochlear implants. It had been mentioned when I was younger 30 years ago but they felt hearing aids worked as well. But now there has been great improvements and they are saying cochlear implants are better and I am very interested in it now because I have two young children and I really want to be able to hear and understand them better. I am trying to learn about other people's experiences to see what their experiences were.
