About This Group

When my husband was researching the possibility of becoming a CI recipient, I felt that I would like to be more informed and support him in the process. The Cochlear Community has welcomed me, and provided much needed information about the range of things one might want to know pre- and post-operatively.  Several folks have suggested a spouse group be formed so that we, as spouses and significant others, can help each other with the ever changing challenges that our hearing impaired and CI recipient loved ones face along this journey. I hope that we can establish a dialogue and hear from the more experienced folks, and those who are just beginning to explore this wonderful technology!
