Painting Sounds

I posted this on my personal blog but feel it would be fun to share with everyone. Enjoy!
My husband and I launched into a bigger than expected job repainting our den this week and weekend. I've also experienced some new and old familiar sounds in the process. "Hear's" my list!
- Squeaky, squishy paint rollers.
- Swooshy paint brushes.
- Scratchy tape coming off the roll.
- Zippy tape coming off the wall later.
- Burbly stir sticks in thick paint cans.
- Loud water faucets and more loud water when washing rollers and brushes. Seems this went on forever.
- Crunchy crackly drip cloths on the floor.
- Clangy metal ladder steps.
- Clangier paint trays on the ladder.
- Greg's rather odd singing with his Ipod. :o)
- Tinny metal screws dropped onto the electrical plates after being removed from the wall.
- A louder than normal room with the furniture moved out.
- Pleasant, polite clerks at the paint store. Yes, I could actually have a conversation with them all by myself - amazing!)
- Papers blowing off the counter in the breeze with the doors open.
- Really loud music bouncing off the walls as Greg and I rocked out while painting.
- And finally, the sighs and joys of both of us saying "It looks awesome!" when we finished.
I LOVE HEARING ALL THIS REGULAR STUFF AGAIN!
